TDK CD-R/CD-RW PACKACKING HONORED IN AMERICAN CORPORATE IDENTITY 23 COMPETITION
– Packaging Will be Showcased in The 23rd Annual American Corporate
Identity 2008 Published by HarperCollins–
GARDEN CITY, NY, May 8, 2007 - TDK, a world leader in digital recording solutions,
today announced that its line of CD-R and CD-RW packaging has been recognized
with an influential American Corporate Identity 23 Award. The packaging will
be showcased in the American Corporate Identity 2008, which will be published
in November 2007 by HarperCollins. This is TDK’s second packaging award
in less than six months. In January the company was honored with a Creativity
Award for its CD-R and CD-RW packaging.
First launched in 1985, the American Corporate Identity Awards is one of the
most prestigious design competitions recognizing the best corporate identity
work in the country. Over 1,000 entries were received this year, judged in
fourteen categories. The annual competition culminates with the publication
of the American Corporate Identity 2008, a 320 page, full color hardcover book.
TDK’s line of award-winning CD-R and CD-RW packaging was designed by
Interrobang Design Collaborative, Inc. of Richmond, Vermont.
“We’re elated that TDK’s CD-R and CD-RW packaging has again
been recognized for its extraordinary design. Our design team never fails to
amaze. They are second to none in terms of innovation and originality,” commented
Sethu Palat, TDK Director of Marketing. He concluded, “Our CD-R and CD-RW
packaging has a contemporary, elegant appearance which clearly communicates
key product features and stands out from crowded retail displays.”
